Evidence-based therapy and services
Growth looks different for everyone
Honoring individuality
Life can feel messy and uneven—and that is to be expected. Individuals develop skills and abilities at different rates based on their inherent capabilities, interests, and opportunities. While certain skills and abilities may be acquired within a developmental window, or period of life, many people mature more slowly in one area than in others. At times, life stressors can disrupt healthy growth and additional support in the context of a nurturing relationship can restore a person’s vitality.
Building on strengths
I strive to understand each person, and how their life experiences have shaped the ways in which they relate to their world. Together we build on personal interests, goals, and values to improve the quality of your life, or the life of your child.
Nurturing skills
When individuals feel heard, understood, and supported, they are more motivated to practice new skills and engage in the activities that will help them to thrive.

New name, same holistic approach
In the last several years, my therapy services expanded to include adults and more work with parents and caretakers. I've updated the name of my practice to reflect these changes with the more inclusive Michelle Proulx, Ph.D.
